Homemation is pleased to announce that it will soon be stocking LaunchPort control mount for iPad. iPort, the company that brought the world’s first in-wall music system for the iPod®, is now offering another world first: an inductive charging and mounting system for iPad 2. The LaunchPort system is a revolutionary way to mount and charge your iPad anywhere. The system consists of a Station and a PowerShuttle. Any PowerShuttle can work with any Station. LaunchPort uses the magic of magnets and induction charging (charging through the air), it’s like magic.

The Launch Port system consists of three parts: a PowerShuttle, BaseStation and WallStation.

The LaunchPort PowerShuttle

The PowerShuttle is a sleeve-style, soft touch black hard case with inductive charging for iPad. Retained magnetically onto the BaseStation and WallStation, it provides an incredibly user-friendly and totally secure mounting solution that allows the iPad to be rotated through a full 360 degrees, into landscape or portrait mode.

In addition to providing a more ergonomic feel with its hand grips and soft-touch finish, the PowerShuttle also features an acoustic wave guide that passively amplifies and directs sound towards the front of iPad, creating a better listening experience for the user.

It’s equipped with a Mini USB port for charging and syncing on the go, when a BaseStation or WallStation are not available.

Because the PowerShuttle contains magnets, you can also mount it to any metallic surface

The LaunchPort BaseStation

The BaseStation allows you to mount your iPad 2 to a table top to use and charge. .

It’s constructed of a high quality extruded aluminium and black composite finish that makes it a stylish addition to a countertop or bedside table.

The LaunchPort WallStation

The LaunchPort WallStation provides a home for your iPad 2 on the wall making your iPad – Home Automation integration through Control4 even sleeker.

The WallStation is in a discreet white finish that will not detract from the interior design cues of the room.

Inductive Charging

The LaunchPort inductive charging system starts charging the iPad wirelessly, as soon as the PowerShuttle is docked onto either the WallStation or BaseStation; eliminating the need for external chargers and cables.
